Terracotta Blues

Hello hello!

I know I don't post very many OOTD pictures on my blog (something I'm working on), but last week, my dear friend Tori (from College Fashion) came over with her camera for a project of hers. We figured that since she already had a camera with her and she was at my house, it would be a great opportunity to take pictures of some looks that I had in mind. Here's one of my favorites!

As I've mentioned in a previous post, I am absolutely in love with off the shoulder tops. I initially only paired them with skinny jeans or pants to contrast the flowy nature of the top, but after discovering the beauty of wearing them with loose bottoms, I never went back. There's just something about loose tops and loose bottoms that give a vacation-y vibe, which I really love for the summer. With this look, I also decided to try some color blocking. It's not something I do often, but I'm glad I did it. The pale, soft blue top with the bold pants provided the same contrast as the flowy/loose contrast I previously mentioned. I added neutral pumps to avoid redirecting the attention from the main parts of the outfit. The bag I chose for this look fit the color palette with the earthy tones. For accessories, I picked a tan necklace to match the heels, a black and gold watch with a matching bracelet, and my usual bracelet set from Morocco. As for the hair, I did a simple, low chignon and attached it using a hair stick (wrong name maybe?) that I got at a bazaar in Morocco. The top was from Koton, the pants from Forever 21, the heels, the watch and the bracelet all from Michael Kors, the necklace from J. Crew, and the bag from Mexico.

I hope you guys enjoy this look as much as I do!!

xo nads :)
