Prom Look 2014

Prom Look 2014
Although I'm not going to prom this year (I'm only a sophomore), I do have a look in mind that would be very well suited for prom. This dress was hand-sewn by my deceased grandmother and was supposed to be given to my aunt, but she never got the chance to wear it. So, this dress was passed down to me. It is truly an honor to wear something with such tremendous value. Since this dress is quite simple, I paired it with a golden necklace that was given to me by my mother. This look just bears a lot of sentimental value overall.

As for the hair and makeup aspect, I chose to keep it very simple. I parted my hair a bit off center, twisted both sides, while incorporating all my hair, then clipped those two twists in the back. I proceeded to make the two twists into a bun and bobby pinned it down. For the makeup, I used Esteé Lauder's Sumptuous Extreme Mascara in "Extreme Black." I also used Esteé Lauder's Double Wear Eyeliner in "Coffee." I have an Esteé Lauder palette that has blush and natural hues of eyeshadow, which is what I used. For my lips, I used MAC Sheen Supreme in "Good to Be Bad."
